Mandurah's southern suburbs paused to remember the Anzacs who fought for their countries at a touching dawn service at the Dawesville War Memorial.
Reciting of The Ode and the sounds of The Last Post rang out across the still estuary as thousands stood quietly as they paid their respects to our fallen service men and women.

A gunfire breakfast was held at the Port Bouvard Recreation and Sporting Club located along Thisbe Drive from 7am.
Dawesville Returned and Services League (RSL) vice president Bart Mavrick was the master of ceremonies for the event.
Mr Mavrick estimated the number of attendees to be about the same as the previous year.
