Hundreds of aspiring Indigenous football players from all over the state descended on David Grays Arena on Saturday for the Nicky Winmar and Kirby Bentley cups.
The respective male and female tournaments were held in conjunction to shine a spotlight on up-and-coming junior football talent.
Sixteen teams took to the field on March 23, including squads from the Peel region and surrounding areas.
Talent identification scouts from the WAFL scanned the field throughout the day looking for potential players to fill their development programs.
The carnival is also used as a selection platform for the AFL's Kickstart and Diversity Championships teams, which have paved the path for many Aboriginal footballers to be drafted.
