Six teams will take to the field in the inaugural season of the Peel Football and Netball League's brand new second division this year.
Five clubs will participate in the new league with the Baldivis Football Club fielding a pair of sides while North Mandurah, Dwellingup, Secret Harbour and South Mandurah make up the remainder.
The competition, set to be played as a level below the PFNL's current reserves division, is an expansion venture undertaken by the league due to population growth in the Peel region.
While both Baldivis and South Mandurah already field clubs in the league's four pre-existing grades (league, reserves, colts, women), this will be the first time Dwellingup, Secret Harbour and North Mandurah have fielded senior men's outfits in the PFNL.
North Mandurah president Jody Elphinstone said the Magpies were "buzzing" ahead of their first season as a senior football side.
"There's a heap of excitement building around the club," she said.
"We had a scratch match against South Mandurah over the weekend and even though it's just a scratchy there was definitely some emotion seeing a senior side playing in North Mandurah colours.
"Everyone's buzzing and we're really excited to get started."
The second division will be played across 15 rounds this season, kicking off on April 13.
Clubs fielding sides are currently looking for numbers to fill their ranks ahead of the season.
