The Falcon Keep Fit group toasted to more than three decades of staying in shape when they held their 35th birthday lunch at Sunbreakers Restaurant on Thursday afternoon.
The seniors group held their first fitness session on February 14, 1984, where 22 members took part in the exercise drills.
Now, 35 years on, the group boasts more than 80 members who attend their weekly sessions.
Club president Lyn Millington said celebrating 35 years of fitness was "special to the group", with many members having been around for lengthy periods of time.
"Some of our members have been participating in the group for more than 20 years," she said.
"It's a really big achievement for us as a group and something we're very proud of."
Millington also cited the social benefits that come with being part of the group.
"It does help you get a sense of belonging. I know I've made a lot of life-long friends in the group," she said.
"Everyone certainly loves hanging around for a cup of tea afterwards."
The group meets twice a week at the Pavilion Hall on Lynda Street.
