Fairbridge Festival are still on their quest to find star songwriters from across the state to perform at the annual folk and roots three-day festival.
The Act-Belong-Commit competition offers participants the chance to perform their own 20 minute set at the 2019 Fairbridge Festival on April 28.
The original competition for 12-18-year-olds offers four chances to win an epic prize pack.
Categories include craft, performance and two age categories, 12-15 years old and 16-18 years old.
Winners will receive a live performance gig at Fairbridge Festival on Sunday, April 28; a John Butler Studio recording session voucher; an entry into the West Australian Music (WAM) Song of the Year entry; a HK Photography professional photoshoot; a WAMCon 2019 ticket; a post-final industry mentoring session from WAM; and the opportunity to sign a deal with Perfect Pitch Publishing.
In addition, they will also be treated to an on-event performance workshop before their live gigs with Pinjarra musician John Butler and Mama Kin.

Entries must be original material and include an audio file of your song/s and text document of its lyrics both submitted online.
Organisers have held song-writing workshops throughout WA since December to teach budding musicians how to get started, writing methods and techniques used by professionals as well as how to perform a song well.
There is still the opportunity to attend a workshop to learn the tips and tricks what song competition judges will be looking for and how to entertain an audience, with events in Busselton, Margaret River and Churchlands over the coming weeks.
