Four schools in the Peel region have been handed much-needed funding by the federal government to build new classrooms and upgrade facilities.
Canning MP Andrew Hastie announced this week that $2 million has been pledged to the quartet of local education establishments to assist with ongoing projects.
Austin Cove Baptist College, Serpentine Jarrahdale Grammar School, St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School Pinjarra and St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School Waroona will all receive funding for important capital works.
Mr Hastie said the funding was important for the development of the Peel region’s schools and students would benefit from the work being undertaken.
“This is significant investment into the bricks and mortar of local schools,” he said.
“Under the Morrison Government all schools are being properly resourced to deliver quality education for our kids.
“We have delivered more investment per child for education at every school in Canning. On top of that we’re also making sure our schools have the classrooms and the facilities they need.
“We want build great schools in the Peel region. This investment will help support the efforts and sacrifices of parents and communities working to do just that.”
