A concerned Mandurah resident has warned drivers after witnessing an undamaged abandoned car in Coodanup have its three tyres and number plate stolen – in less than 24 hours.
Meadow Springs woman Maria Heron said she noticed the car abandoned in Coodanup with its hazard lights on about 2.30pm on Wednesday.
“The car was on the Wanjeep Street footpath and I assumed someone had broke down and was forced to leave it there,” she said.
To her dismay, when Ms Heron was back in the area the following morning for school drop-off she saw the car had three wheels, a number plate and fuel cap missing.
“I hope the owner gets to it before tonight or I guarantee the windows will be smashed or more things will go missing,” she said.
“It’s really sad and frustrating for the person who obviously couldn’t get back to their car and this has happened.”
