Hundreds gathered at the Mandurah War Memorial on the citys western foreshore to pause and honour those who served our nation during World War I for Remembrance Day 2018 on Sunday morning.
The large crowd turned out to mark the 100-year milestone since the guns of the Western Front fell silent in 1918, paying homage to those who lost their lives in service to the Australian military.
Sunny skies shone bright during the ceremony as the City of Mandurahs Returned and Services League (RSL) sub-branch delivered a moving tribute to the fallen soldiers and those affected by the war.
Those currently in service attended the event, which included a poem reading and a wreath-laying at the steps of the memorial.
