Around 4.35pm on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, a man sat down next to a 13-year-old girl and started a conversation.
Police allege the man sexually assaulted the girl before she screamed and was able to get away from him with the assistance of two passengers.
The man is described as being fair skinned, between 30 and 40 years of age, medium build, with dark coloured beard and moustache.
He was wearing a baseball cap backwards, dark long sleeved jumper and light long pants.
Police have released CCTV images of a man they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.
Acting Police Sergeant Mick Slaughter told 6PR officers were “very interested” in speaking to the man.
“It’s very scary for a young girl, just trying to go home,” he said.
Anyone with information regarding this incident, or who recognises the man in the image, are asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
