Dust off your Lederhosens and fish out your fedoras Mandurah, Dolphin Quay’s second annual Oktoberfest celebrations are upon us!
The precinct will become a mini Bavaria on October 20 and 21 with plenty of German entertainment to celebrate the European tradition.
Businesses have teamed up to decorate the area in Bavarian colours and staff members will serve German food wearing traditional outfits, providing an authentic Oktoberfest experience.
Event attendees will be able to enjoy German food, drink beer in steins, take part in facepainting, listen to live music and learn traditional German Folk dancing.
Bavarian-style bands Alpen Duo, Edelweiss and Trouvaille will get audiences into the groove performing at the outdoor stage.
The event will also feature a schnitzel eating competition at Oceanic Bar and Grill (OBG) from 2pm on Saturday. It’s free to participate with prizes up for grabs for those who can handle the challenge.
OBG will also be selling traditional German sausages, pork knuckles and Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier and Pilsner.
