A crowd of hundreds were in rhythm at the Mandurah Foreshore on Tuesday night thanks to a “Full Moon Community Drum Circle” organised by local couple Carolyne Forte and Linda Telfer.
The pair successfully pitched the idea of their music and arts event at Shape Mandurah’s Community Soup event last month, winning a $2000 funding grant from the organisation to help get their idea off the ground.

Members and figures from the community hit the foreshore to join in the drum circle, while food trucks fielded more than 2300 orders on the night.
Ms Forte said she was thrilled to be able to put the event on for the community.
“There was so much diversity among the people who participated in the drum circle, from young to elderly, many different cultures and many people who were disabled,” she said.
“It was so inclusive and we are very proud that we were able to bring so much connection to the people of Mandurah.”
