Mandurah’s students have embrace a national literacy initiative this month, getting to dress up as their favourite characters and heroes in the process.
Book Week is designed to promote reading to the region’s youngsters, with Mandurah Baptist College Primary School students happy to celebrate the event.
The youngsters, from Kindy to Year 6, took part in various activities to enhance their love of books.

With the theme ‘Find your Treasure’, students dressed up as their favourite book characters, with a costume parade taking place.
Both teachers and students discussed their favourite books and had the chance to express their joy of reading and why it was important to them.
Administration staff at the Mandurah school also dressed up as the Where’s Wally character, with the day deemed as a success.
