Peel region artists interested in taking their creative career to the next level can now apply for a unique mentoring opportunity offered by established artist Monique Tippett, Lost Eden ARI and The Creative Grid.
Successful applicants will be supported by Tippett to develop, present and document a four-week solo exhibition during 2019 at Lost Eden ARI in Dwellingup.
Tippett is a multi-award winning artist who has lived and worked in the Peel region for the last 18 years.
She operates a busy studio practice and has several significant public artworks throughout Perth and the South West.
The package includes artist fees for the mentor, venue hire, admin and marketing support
“We are opening an exciting new gallery space and artist residency in Dwellingup, Lost Eden ARI, and we can’t wait to show some fresh and fantastic new artwork from an up and coming Peel artists,” Tippett said.
“The venue is a newly renovated 1940s building, a large and airy 150 square metres of exhibition space on the main street. This will be a wonderful new addition to the artscape of the Peel region.”
This mentorship has been made possible through a pilot state-wide regional arts initiative called The Creative Grid, a collective of 40 regionally-based art organisations and galleries.
