Scientist Chris Smith delighted a packed audience at Mandurah’s Fish Trap Theatre on Thursday evening.
Dr Smith, who is known for his BBC radio show The Naked Scientists, presented his show Curious Communities: How mind, body, food and technology impacts our health.
Dr Smith let the crowd ask him their burning science questions and kept the show upbeat and amusing.
Prior to the show, Murdoch University academic Andrew Taggart said Dr Smith was “one of the world’s great science communicators”.
“Dr Smith will dazzle the audience with his comprehensive and entertaining health knowledge while he strips back to the basics of the wicked health problems facing the western world,” he said.
“Winning a host of awards for science communications since 2006, The Naked Scientist is guaranteed to entertain, inspire and educate.
“With his signature stripped back to the bare essentials approach, these presentations make science accessible, interesting and understandable.”
