Two people have sustained head injuries, after being struck by a brick during a fight in Mandurah’s Smart Street Mall.
Police have called on the public to help find a group of men who started a fight with a 27-year-old man on April 25 about 1.30am.
Two of the men allegedly threw multiple bricks at the man’s head, before striking him and causing him to trip.
While off balance, another group member allegedly attempted to hit the man.
A woman, in her 20s, who ran over to assist was also struck in the head by a brick.
The man and woman were taken to Peel Health Campus for treatment.
The woman’s skull was fractured and the man’s head wound required staples.
Police believe an incident inside a nearby nightclub may have provoked this attack.
At the time of the assault, there was a large group of people in the area who may have witnessed the incident.
Police have released CCTV footage of four men who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.
- The first man is described as a fair skinned man, 20 to 25-years-old, of solid build, and wearing black pants, a black jacket with dark coloured t-shit underneath.
- The second man is described as a tan skinned male, 20 to 25-years-old, of medium build, and wearing a grey hoodie and blue pants.
- The third man is described as a fair skinned male, 20 to 25-years-old, of slim build, and wearing a black t-shirt and green pants.
- The fourth man is described as a tan skinned male, around 20-years-old, of slim build, and wearing a maroon coloured t-shirt and black pants.
