Hundreds of Pinjarra residents, war veterans and school students gathered outside the town’s war memorial to pay their respects to Australia’s past and present servicemen and women this Anzac Day.
The town’s commemorations kicked off with a dawn service at the memorial on Pinjarra Road, followed by a gunfire breakfast at the RSL hall.

Those marching in the parade assembled on George Street at 9.30am, before making their way to the main service.
The sound of the last post rang clear around the town before a hush swept the large crowd for a minute of silence.
Attendees were then invited forward to lay their wreaths at the memorial, before being welcomed back into the RSL hall for lunch and a game of two-up.
