Hundreds of residents gathered in silence at dawn on Anzac Day, to commemorate Australia’s service men and women.
The service was held at the war memorial on Estuary Drive, and was followed by a gunfire breakfast at the Port Bouvard Recreation and Sporting Club.
Dawesville woman Ursula Boyes (73) paid tribute at the service to her husband John Hobson Boyes, who died last year, after serving as a pilot in Europe and Africa.
