Mandurah will be treated to a brand new sports bar and grill option when The Sporting Globe opens its doors in town later this month.

The popular chain will bring its trademark state-of-the-art sports fit out, quality casual dining and family-friendly atmosphere to its new venue in the Mandurah Forum, after successfully launching a franchise in Rockingham in 2016.

The Rockingham restaurant created more than 40 local jobs in the area, with Mandurah expected to experience the same employment booster.
Casual food and a large range of beers will greet customers at the Sporting Globe, while more than 50 high definition screens will ensure the sports entertainment enthusiasts get their fill.
The venue will have capacity to comfortably seat 400 diners and a 120-person beer garden, providing a new contemporary bar and functions complex for the Peel community.
Dual Olympic Australian hockey player, Tim Deavin, who brought The Sporting Globe to Rockingham 18 months ago, is also the franchise partner for the new venue in Mandurah and believes the concept will be quickly embraced by the community.
“It is based on the US-style sports bars and offers a unique alternative to the traditional Australian pub model,” he said.
“It’s the ultimate family-friendly sports entertainment experience.
“Our Rockingham venue has exceeded all expectations and we have every confidence in the Mandurah venue being just as popular with the locals and tourists alike.”
The owners are investing $2 million into the Mandurah venue as part of a $10 million investment strategy in Western Australia over the next few years with a venue in Belmont earmarked for the middle of 2018.
Mandurah’s local sporting clubs will also benefit from the venue’s launch in town, with the Sporting Globe eager to offer sponsorship programs to grassroots organisations.
“The Sporting Globe currently supports a large number of Rockingham clubs, both small and large and we expect to establish a similar program in Mandurah,” Deavin said.
“It is part of the company’s DNA to give back to the grassroots sporting clubs because that’s where every great athlete is born.”
The Sporting Globe will open at the Mandurah Forum on Thursday, March 22.
