Ladies take to the turf for Murray District Bowling League pennants finals

Lawn bowls action was in full swing last week with teams taking to the turf for the local ladies pennants finals of the Murray District Bowling League.

It was Halls Head Green that shone the brightest in the women’s division one finals, taking out an 18-shot win over Dudley Park Gold at Port Bouvard on Thursday.

Halls Head won their way through to the division one finals with wins over Dudley Park Blue and Meadow Springs Gold on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.

The second division finals saw Mandurah Blue take a resounding win over Waroona Red, while Mandurah Pink took out the division three title with a victory over Dudley Park Green.

Dudley Park Red finished on top in division four.
