A woman has drowned after losing her footing near a waterfall in Dwellingup.

The woman had been walking near reserve water hole when she fell.
Police say the woman was under water for some time before she was rescued.
St John Ambulance officers and WA Police attended the scene, but efforts to resuscitate her were unsuccessful.
The woman passed away at the scene.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
Lane Poole Reserve is a popular holiday spot for both tourists and locals alike, and hundreds of campers are expected to stay at the location for the Australia Day long weekend.
