Registration for the Australasian Police and Emergency Services (AP&ES) Games has officially opened.
The 17th Games will be hosted within the City of Mandurah between October 28 and November 3 2018.
Keen competitors who register before January 31 will receive a 30 per cent discount on their application to participate in the biennial event held throughout Australia and New Zealand.
The Games are open to all serving, retired members and registered volunteers of eligible agencies.
Eligible agencies include Police and Law Enforcement Agencies and Emergency Service Agencies.
Eligible competitors are either full time or part time employees (sworn and unsworn), registered volunteers or retired personnel from eligible agencies from Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Singapore, Papua New Guinea and the Pacific Islands.
Competitors must be 18-years-old or over at the time of the games.
The games aim to provide a positive sporting, cultural, social and tourism experience for all competitors and accompanying persons, while fostering positive physical and mental benefits for participants.
The games provide a unique opportunity for the wider community to recognise the contribution made by first responders throughout Australasia.
There are over 50 sports on offer at the 2018 AP&ES Games, so you can safely say there is something for everyone.
The Organising Committee of the 2018 AP&ES Games invites eligible participants from the Western Australia Volunteer Bush Fire Brigades to join them in Mandurah for what will be the Extraordinary Games for Extraordinary People!

From January 29 until April 22, the Games Management Team will visit multiple locations around Western Australia, to hold information session.

- Great Southern February 12 to February 16
- Wheatbelt February 19 to February 22
- Goldfields-Esperance February 26 to March 1
- Midwest-Gascoyne March 12 to March 16
- Pilbara March 27 to March 31
- Kimberley April 17 to April 22
