After a stranger generously paid for their dinner, a local golfing group has given back to those in need of a feed.
On Tuesday, ladies from The Cut Golf Course had finished their putting competition when they decided to go for dinner at Mandurah’s Silk Thai Restaurant.
While the 24 women were enjoying their meal a man named Colin, who didn’t reveal his last name, came over to their table and wished them a merry Christmas.
When the ladies went to pay for their $540 bill at the end of the evening they were told a man, by the name of Colin, had already paid.
Shocked and humbled by the generosity of a strange, the women decided to donate the money to a local charity.
The Cut Golf Course ladies captain Jeanette Barnes said the group decided to donate the money to Peel Community Kitchen.
“We thought it was a great way to pay it forward,” she said.
“We’d never seen him before. We were blown away.
“We’d like him to know that we really appreciate his generosity.”
This month the ladies from The Cut Golf Course have also organised a charity Kris Kringle event, where they will give presents to children in need.
The event will replace their annual Secret Santa, where they gave presents to each other.
