In what was a big year for footy in the Peel region, the Demons showed they were beyond a benchmark for the competition, following an undefeated 2010 campaign with another premiership.
This time it came at the hands of the Rockingham Rams, who were dealt an eight-goal loss by the Demons in the grand final with Matthew Giumelli earning best on ground honours.
It would Waroona’s third of four straight premierships, and the third straight under head coach Paul Pannell.
But the PFL season was a mixed one in 2011, with several clubs enjoying both team and individual success.
The highest individual accolade, the Ross Elliott Medal, was awarded to Pinjarra’s Dean Page ahead of Eddie Dann, while South Mandurah powerhouse Rod Tregenza led the league’s goal-kicking for the sixth consecutive season with a quiet 122.
Halls Head showed their youth was a future to look forward to with a colts premiership, while Pinjarra won their only reserves flag to date.
