The Department of Fire and Emergency Services has issued a bushfire alert for an uncontained fire moving slowly west of Dwellingup.
The fire is in the Shire of Murray about eight kilometres west of Dwellingup.
The advice is current for people in the vicinity of Scarp Road.
At this stage there is no threat to lives or homes, but there is a lot of smoke in the area.
Although there is no immediate danger, residents are advised to be aware and keep up to date in case the situation changes.
The fire started in state forest near the intersection of Scarp Road and and Pinjarra-Williams Road.
There are currently no road closures.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area, reduce speed and drive carefully due to smoke.
Firefighters are on the scene.
