Fifteen lucky Shire of Murray ratepayers have shared in a prize pool worth more than $3800, after paying their rates in full and on time.
The winners of the Shire of Murray’s 2017-18 Rates Incentive Scheme were randomly drawn by councillors following their September meeting.
Ozay Davidson claimed first prize and received two six month gold memberships to the Murray Leisure Centre, valued at $940.
In second place Linda Elwin claimed a three day Fairbridge Festival pass for two adults and two children to the 2018 event, worth $700.
The 2018 Festival takes place at Fairbridge Village from April 20-22.
Third place winner Katie Annice received a two night weekend stay at Perth Ambassador Hotel in a Premium Deluxe Room including full buffet breakfast each morning, valued at $600.
Roy Millan and Mary Cavanagh were drawn fourth and fifth respectively, claiming the double passes to Asher Fisch Conducts Schumann valued at $380, while Barbara Woodford was drawn sixth, will be wined and dined thanks to a $200 food and beverage voucher for Redcliffe on the Murray.
Brett Meares won the two Pinjarra Golf Club Friday Meal and Golf Deals for 18 holes of golf and a shared cart, valued at $110 up for grabs in seventh place, while Michael Pelich was drawn eighth and won the $100 food and beverage voucher for Edenvale Homestead Tearooms.
Bernardus Grothues, Lyall Harper, David Hobby, Colin Browning and Geoffrey Reedman, drawn ninth to thirteenth, received complimentary wheel alignments valued at $65 each thanks to Pinjarra Tyrepower, while pampering is in store for fourteenth and fifteenth prize winners Robert Jones and Peter Gallagher, winners of $50 hair and beauty vouchers thanks to Murray Hair and Beauty Studio.
All residents who paid their rates in full before September 22 were automatically entered into the Shire of Murray’s Rates Incentive Scheme.
Shire president Maree Reid congratulated this year’s winners and thanked everyone who paid their rates in full and on time.
“Timely contributions assist in the delivery of quality services and support the district’s future by enabling investment in infrastructure development, tourism and industry,” Ms Reid said.
The 2017-18 Rates Incentive Scheme was kindly sponsored by the Murray Leisure Centre, Fairbridge Festival, Perth Ambassador Hotel, West Australian Symphony Orchestra, Redcliffe on the Murray, Pinjarra Golf Club Inc., Edenvale Homestead, Pinjarra Tyrepower and Murray Hair and Beauty Studio.
