Christmas lovers, it’s less than 80 days until the joyful sound of Christmas carols returns to Cantwell Park as part of the Shire of Murray’s festive season celebrations.
The Murray Community Christmas celebration will be held between 5pm and 8.30pm on December 6, and it will include entertainment for all ages and plenty of Christmas-themed fun.
Murray Shire president Maree Reid said the event was a highlight on the Shire’s calendar.
“With preparations well underway for this not-to- be-missed event, I strongly encourage residents and visitors to save the date and join us for a festive celebration,” she said.
Stallholder applications for the event are now open across several categories and the Shire of Murray is calling on food vendors, performers and entertainers to step forward.
The Shire is also looking for volunteers to assist with the event set up and pull down, and community groups to deliver activities for children.
President Reid said the event attracted attendees from across the region, becoming a perfect platform for business exposure and showcasing talent.
