Are you an emerging young artist or art professional living in regional WA who wants to take their practice to the next level?
Presented by Drug Aware, Country Arts WA is offering a $5,000 grant to further a budding regional or remote artist’s career through the Next Level YCulture Regional program.
Applicants can apply for the grant via an individual professional development project. Funding can cover artist, artsworker and cultural adviser fees, travel, accommodation, materials, venue, equipment hire and insurance.
In addition to this, successful applicants will be supported to attend the WA State Regional Arts Summit in Mandurah in October, and to receive mentorship sessions with an appropriate regional professional artist/artsworker.
Activity in all art forms including visual arts, theatre, dance, creative writing, music, multi-media and cultural projects including recording and preservation of language and stories are eligible.
This opportunity will increase employment and professional development opportunities for young regional and remote artists and artsworkers, develop partnerships and networks, and engage emerging artists and artsworkers with industry professionals.
This fund is only open to applicants from regional and remote Western Australia between the ages of 18 and 26. Applicants must be in this age range at the time of application.
