PeelConnect, a group of locals supporting the work of celebrated community volunteer Reg Lambert, is hosting a public dinner to acknowledge and celebrate the work of agencies and community groups tackling the issues of homelessness, mental health, drugs and alcohol.
The dinner was planned be a “thank you” from the community for making Mandurah and the Peel region a better place.
A spokeswoman for PeelConnect said each invited agency would be eligible for two complimentary tickets to attend on the evening.
“PeelConnect invites all members of our community to help celebrate our agencies with an evening of fun, food, and friendship,” she said.
Tickets were available to the public for $35 and would include live entertainment and a two course meal.
PeelConnect was first convened by Mr Lambert in 2015.
At the age of 92, Mr Lambert still visits homeless people in the early hours of the morning to provide friendship, hot drinks, care packs, and referrals where appropriate.
