A pair of outstanding performances in a double-header against Rockingham and Cockburn have gifted star Mandurah Magic centre Carly Boag her second Women’s State Basketball League player of the week award on the season.
Boag dominated each game helping the Magic to 21 and 20-point wins against the Flames and Cougars respectively.
Battling Rockingham on Friday night, Boag tallied a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds, while adding four steals.
The former Sydney Uni champion has made a habit of keeping possessions alive for the Magic and her outing against the Flames was no different with six of her rebounds coming at the offensive end.
But Boag saved her best for Saturday night in a 20-point win over Cockburn.
She was able to amass a whopping stat line with 18 points, 23 rebounds and two steals as her side romped the Cougars with a final-quarter blitz.
Her averages over the weekend stood at 15.5 points, 18.5 rebounds and three steals.
It is the second time Boag has picked up player of the week honours, following on from a terrific showing in week eight.
It is the third round this season the Magic has provided a player of the week, with Nici Gilday notching the award in week four.
