Serial petrol thief cops fines in Mandurah court
A Mandurah man pleaded guilty in the Mandurah Magistrates Court on Friday to six counts of stealing petrol from four different Coles Express service stations.
Police prosecution told the court John Douglas Miles stole petrol by filling his car at the station and driving off without paying on the following dates at the following locations:

- October 13 and October 27, 2016, from Coles Express in Bertram
- February 5, 2017 from Coles Express in Barragup
- February 6, 2017 from Coles Express in Halls Head
The court heard Miles was recognised using CCTV footage from all locations, and stole amounts of $30-$100 in each case.
Miles gave the magistrate no excuses for his actions.
