The Dawesville Probus Club welcomed a new committee at the Halls Head Country Club last week, after a successful 16 months in operation.
Rae Freeman was inducted as president for the coming year.
Since being established the club has grown to include 81 members, who meet every second Thursday of the month, where they hear from guest speakers, many of which are local.
“All members are active retirees and come from a very broad spectrum of the workforce,” Probus member Russell Chivers said.
“The club focuses on friendship, fellowship and fun with members actively enjoying many and varied activities including luncheons, sausage sizzles, interesting outings to such places as the Garden Island Naval Facility, Gravity Centre, and the Pinjarra Races.”
