Last Tuesday the students at North Mandurah Primary School celebrated their cultural diversity for Harmony Day, with everyone at the school – staff included – dressing in traditional cultural attire or the Harmony Day colour orange.
Principal Tom Burke said the day was a great reflection of the school community’s spirit.
“The North Mandurah community is made up of many different cultures and it was exciting to see all students celebrating our rich diversity,” Mr Burke said.
“Inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone was the theme for the day, with a cultural parade the culmination to a great day.”
He said the day fit well with the school’s motto, “Together We Achieve”.
