Shoalwater Bay Cricket Club will turn Rockingham’s Stan Twight Reserve a shade of pink and rattle tins for the McGrath Foundation at the club’s Pink Stumps Day this Sunday.
The annual family day will see all cricket gear, including the fans, don pink colours to raise money and awareness for breast cancer.
Shoalwater Bay Cricket Club treasurer Nicki Kennedy said it was an easy choice for the club to support the worthy cause.
“Let’s face it, almost everyone at some point in their lives has either been or known someone affected by breast cancer,” she said.
“We’ve felt it at our club and the McGrath Foundation is definitely something worth throwing your support behind.”
The day will incorporate a family fun day, including a bouncy castle, face painting, an inflatable water playground and a pamper room for the ladies run by Savage Beauty.
