Held on October 28 and 29 from 6:30pm both nights, students and families from around Western Australia will flock into town for night of art, dance and drama from the top 8 schools from around the state.
The finalists were up against strong competition from a variety of regions and came out on top in a pool of over 200 entries.
YOH Fest began 18 years ago, beginning its life in a local Mandurah high school, and has since grown to gather national attention.
YOH Fest chief Rhys Williams has been with the festival for ten years.
“It’s my favourite time of the year,” he said.
“Celebrating the hard work and effort that the students, schools and teachers have put is so important and bringing people from around the state into the Mandurah community is an added bonus”.
“I’ve definitely seen some amazing performances over the years, but once again the performers have stepped their game up to a whole new level.”
Mr Williams encourages the Mandurah and wider Peel community to come see what young talent the festival has to offer.
Live entertainment will play in the foyer just before six on both nights, and the visual arts exhibition will be open in the MPAC foyer all week.
Tickets to the finals are available at manpac.com.au for $14 per person.
