THERE were plenty of spills and thrillers on the Gold Coast this weekend.
Surfers Paradise Street Circuit hosted two big days of action with the Castrol 600 Gold Coast taking place on Saturday and Sunday.
From super cars through to stadium trucks and the formula 4, there was plenty to keep everyone entertained.
Highlights on Sunday included qualifying laps for race 22 of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championships.
The official race will be held on Sunday afternoon.
Holden driver Jamie Whincup will take pole position after winning the top 10 shootout on Sunday.
It was a top three for Holden, with Shane van Gisbergen finishing second and David Reynolds taking third place in the shootout.
Race 22 of the championships was held on Saturday and was taken out by the Holden combination of Shane van Gisbergen and Alexandre Premat from Red Bull Racing Australia.
The Volvo combination of Scott McLaughlin and David Wall from Wilson Security Racing finished second overall.
