Mandurah football product Brad Lynch is enjoying plenty of success in his second year at the AFL level as a player for the Western Bulldogs.
Although the locally raised defender is yet to debut at the highest level and did not play in the club’s drought-breaking grand final win on Saturday, Lynch was a crucial part in the Bulldogs’ reserves side’s win in the Victorian Football League grand final a week before.
Bulldogs affiliate club Footscray toppled the Casey Scorpions in the VFL’s big game thanks to an eight goal to none third quarter.
While Lynch was not named among the group’s best players, he did tally 18 disposals and booted a goal in the premiership win.
Teammate Lin Jong was awarded the Norm Goss medal as best afield for a dominant midfield display amassing 29 disposals, nine marks and six inside-50s.
Lynch was taken by the Bulldogs with pick 11 in the 2015 NAB AFL Rookie Draft.
