Charges against a Mandurah man accused of a one-punch attack could be upgraded after his alleged victim died in hospital on Tuesday.
Jason Goodwin, 27, also from Mandurah, was left with critical injuries after being knocked out at the Silver Sands Tavern last week.
The incident happened on Tuesday, September 20, while the local chef was playing pool.
Police launched a hunt for Madora Bay’s Jake Mosley following the alleged attack, with the 27-year-old being charged with grievous bodily harm.
A woman known to Mr Mosley was also charged with being an accessory after the fact in relation to the search for the accused.
Mr Goodwin is understood to have sustained head fractures and bleeding on the brain following the assault.
