Baldivis’ Tuart Rise Primary School’s football program received a string of accolades at the 2016 AFL School Ambassador Awards night on Thursday, August 4.

The school had four nominees in the awards for a number of football-based initiatives, with three taking out top spot in their categories.
Narelle Scott was named most outstanding primary AFL school ambassador, while Jack Green topped the most outstanding female AFL school program category.
Paul Polczynski was the school’s third winner, taking out the most outstanding non-teaching award.
Tuart Rise staff member Brigit Wall was named as a finalist for the most outstanding primary AFL school ambassador category, which Scott took the win in for the second year running.
Scott was rewarded with a trip for two to watch an AFL final in Melbourne.
WAFC schools program manager David Lindsay congratulated all award finalists and thanked the attendees, school principals, teachers and their colleagues for supporting such an important program.
“It’s fantastic to see the amount of work put into promoting Australian Football by the school ambassadors,” he said.
“The AFL Schools Ambassador Program encourages schools and communities to work together to develop and promote Australian Football in the classroom and on the sporting field.”
All registered teachers are eligible to become a AFL School Ambassador. The WAFC provides training, equipment and support, free of charge.
