Science Skills
July 4 – Falcon eLibrary – Science session: Lava Lamps at 1pm.
July 6 – Falcon eLibrary – Techtime, with Lego Minestorms, Minecraft and coding at the FabLab at 1pm.
July 6 – Murray Library – Scitech’s ‘Where is the air’ demonstration at 1pm will have children 5-8 years old using their senses to understand chemistry.
July 11 – Falcon eLibrary – Science session for ages 10 and over at 1pm.
July 12 – Pinjarra Civic Centre – Mindbuzz Minecraft Camp for ages 6-14 runs all day from 9am-3pm; book at mindbuzz.com.au/events/pinjarra-minecraft-camp/
July 12-15 – Mandurah Community Museum – ‘Tyrannosaurus Park’ animatronic display, pay $5 per person to see show at 10am or 11.30am each day.
July 13 – Falcon eLibrary – Techtime, with Lego Minestorms, Minecraft and coding at the FabLab at 1pm.
July 15 – Murray Leisure Centre – Build a terrarium at 11am for 7-10 year olds, for $15 each.

Any day – Mandurah Cruises – Children under the age of 12 cruise for free with the code ‘KCFREE16′. See the estuary and spot popular wildlife including dolphins and many bird species.

July 5 – Mandurah Library – Craft class to make felt succulents at 6pm for children age 10-17.
July 6 – Alphabet Academy WA, Wannanup – I Write Because I Love It poetry workshop for ages 10-16 at 1pm for $15 per person.
July 7 – Falcon eLibrary – Celebrate Tanabata, the Japanese Star Festival, by making a fan at 10.30am, lanterns at 11.30am, paper doll bookmarks at 1pm, sharing a Japanese afternoon tea at 2.30pm, and for children aged 10 and over, join origami classes at 5pm and vegetarian sushi-making at 6.30pm: call 9550 3230 to book.
July 7 – Alphabet Academy WA, Wannanup – Beatnik Cafe for struggling readers aged 8-12 at 3.30pm for $15 each.

July 4-19 – Mandurah Recreation Centre – Vacation care for children aged 5-12 at $63 per child includes bubble play, a Finding Dory screening, dance party, skateboarding clinic and jungle gym.
July 6 – Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre – Inflatable pool obstacles from 12.30-2.30pm for children aged 6-14, for $8 each.
July 8 – Billy Dower Youth Centre – For $20 children can join a day with the Billy Dower Youth Centre crew, and visit Lazer Blaze and Bounce in Cannington: call 9550 3670 to book.
July 16 – Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre – Roller Disco for all ages at $6 per person. Sessions on at 1pm-3pm, and 3.15-5.15pm. BYO roller skates or blades and protective gear.
Any day – Trees Adventure, Lane Poole Park – Go zip-lining with the family and see the forest from above for $35 each.
Any day – Pinjarra, Dwellingup and the Peel-Harvey Estuary boast a huge network of walking and cycling trails. Pack some sandwiches, a hat and a raincoat and go explore the natural wonders of the area.
