Halls Head defeat Mandurah
Halls Head topped the Mandurah Mustangs for the second time in three weeks when they claimed an 11-goal win in the wet conditions on Saturday.
Mandurah was beaten in every quarter and eventually fell to the second-placed Halls Head 15.16 (106) to 5.10 (40).
Joel Houghton was impressive in the Halls Head forward line, booting four majors for his side, while teammates Todd Hetherington and Mitchell White were named among the best players.
Brendan Harrison and Joshua Rymer were named in Mandurah’s best players.
Centrals defeat South Mandurah
Centrals and South Mandurah played out one of the games of the season on Sunday when a single scoring shot separated the two at full time.
That scoring shot was a behind to Centrals, as they claimed an 8.11 (59) to 8.12 (60) victory.
There was only a point in it at both quarter time and half time, before Centrals stretched out to a seven-point lead at the final change.
South Mandurah won the quarter but fell just shy of a win or draw.
Daniel Wilson and Bradley Holmes kicked three goals each for Centrals and the Falcons respectively.
Baldivis defeat Rockingham
The Brumbies moved to an 8-0 record when they cruised by Rockingham for a 12.7 (79) to 4.10 (34) win on Saturday.
Baldivis set the tone from the get-go blazing away to a huge lead early.
The booted 6.3 (39) to the Rams’ zero in the first quarter.
From there, they maintained their strong lead and took home the win.
Hayden Lynn was impressive for the Brumbies while Andrew Walsh shone for the Rams.
Pinjarra defeat Waroona
Pinjarra moved into third spot on the ladder with a win over Waroona, who now sit fourth, on Sunday.
Both sides struggled to boot majors throughout the game but the play clearly belonged to the Tigers, who finished with 11 more scoring shots to claim a 6.15 (51) to 5.5 (35) win.
The Tigers kicked just 2.12 in their first half but steadied in the second to claim the victory.
Mitchell Green and Robert Beswick performed well for the Tigers while Waroona’s Jayden Derosa was the only multiple goal-scorer with two.
