The Premier’s former environment adviser, Zak Kirkup, has been endorsed by local Liberals to replace Kim Hames in Dawesville.

It is understood a preselection panel chose Mr Kirkup ahead of other candidates at a meeting Saturday morning.
Mr Kirkup won the endorsement ahead of five other candidates including Navy veteran Martin Holzberger, Mandurah City councillor Dave Schumacher and local lawyer James Versteegen.
Mr Kirkup is expected at be endorsed by the Liberal party’s state council next week.
