CELEBRATE Australia Day on the southern end of Mandurah’s eastern foreshore from 7am.
The festivities kick off with a big Aussie breakfast provided by the Lions Club of Mandurah and music thanks to the Mandurah Concert Band.
More than 80 people will take their citizenship pledge from countries such as the UK and Netherlands and winners of the Premier’s Australia Day Active Citizenship Awards will be announced.
The awards recognise outstanding community contributions under three categories – youth, groups and over 25s.
Mayor Vergone said the City was working with WA Police to ensure the celebrations were safe and enjoyable for everyone.
"Australia Day is a family friendly event and alcohol is banned in public places including the foreshore," she said.
"Police will be taking a zero tolerance approach to antisocial behaviour.
"Just a reminder that there are no fireworks in Mandurah on Australia Day."
The Big Aussie Breakfast including bacon, eggs, sausages, baked beans and tea and coffee is just $5, served from 7am to 9am.
