Located at the boating-prohibited area of Koombana Bay, across from the kiosk, the pontoon features nonslip UV resistant decking, two ladders and low-maintenance lightweight fabrication.
The pontoon drew large crowds over the previous two summers and Mayor Gary Brennan is looking forward to it again being a hit with beach-goers and visitors to Bunbury.
“The pontoon provides hours of free fun and is one of the many attractions that make Bunbury’s beautiful beaches such a magnet in the summer months,” Mr Brennan said.
Use of the pontoon is free.
The City advises users to be aware of the risks and to use care when using and swimming around the pontoon.
