FALCON Primary School choir performed for the first time at St Ives Retirement Village last week.
From classic eighties rock songs to Christmas carols, the choir hit all the high notes and even performed dance routines.
After the concert the students greeted the seniors and had afternoon tea.
School music coordinator Abbid Chaudrey said the performance was outstanding considering it was the student’s first one as a group.
“Falcon Primary kindergarten teacher Judy Coates is a resident here and when she suggested we perform I thought it was a wonderful idea,” he said.
“We hope to bring them back.”
Year 6 student Harley Maidment said he joined the choir this year and really enjoyed it.
“My brother is in the choir too so we have heaps of fun,” he said.
“My favourite song is Stand (Shut) Up and Dance With Me by Walk the Moon.”
