For the second consecutive weekend, a regional football grand final in Western Australia has been marred with violence.
A Carey Park supporter was escorted off the ground by police officers after he allegedly punched umpire Brenton Bartlett, 24, after the reserves match between Eaton and Carey Park.
The umpires left the field before Eaton were presented with the trophy and paramedics were seen entering the umpires rooms shortly after.
Police and security guards were used to escort the umpires for the league game onto the ground.
A 25-year-old man was charged with assault following the alleged incident and he will face court on October 5.
A second fight broke out in the crowd during the league grand final between Carey Park and Busselton.
At least three fans wearing clothing with Carey Park logos were removed from the crowd by Bunbury police and security guards after the brawl.
At least eight Bunbury police officers were spotted at the ground along with members of a private security firm.
Tempers also flared on the field late in the game with most of the players on the field becoming involved in a scuffle after Carey Park player Matt Cavedon dealt a late hit on Busselton's Hayward Medallist Chris Kane.
Cavedon was sent off by the umpires.
Teammate Riley Hutchinson was sent off just before the quarter time siren of the league game for hitting Busselton's Brent Snook.
South West Football League general manager John Vidos said the events would be investigated.
Last week at the Peel Grand Final, a fight erupted between fans of South Mandurah and Waroona with play being halted while a fight of about 30 people spilled onto the field.
