HUNDREDS of Mandurah Catholic College students took part in a colour run to raise funds for Beyond Blue on Monday afternoon.
It was the first time the college hosted the 30-minute run with the winner being the student covered in the most paint.
Year 12 head girl and boy Shannon O’Brien and Michael Humble said they wanted to do something different for their end of year legacy.
Shannon's mother Tanja O’Brien said the duo wanted to support friends who were struggling with depression so decided to raise awareness for Beyond Blue.
Teaching and learning deputy principal Paschal McCarthy said the theme was very important and timely after R U OK? day last week.
“It’s important for the students to look after each other and understand depression doesn’t just affect the outside community,” he said.
Mr McCarthy said he would like to make the colour run an annual event at the school.
