IN THE final round of the Peel Football League the top four teams all got the job done against the four bottom-placed teams.
The results mean that South Mandurah will now have a bye in the opening round of the finals with Halls Head taking on Waroona and Pinjarra facing Baldivis in the first two finals.
The Falcons will be watching the qualifying final between Halls Head and Waroona with interest with the winner of that game getting the opportunity to play The Falcons in a preliminary final.
The loser of that game will play the winner of an elimination showdown between Pinjarra and Baldivis, the only team to lose in the final round of the season.
In the final round of the season Waroona recorded a comfortable 53-point victory against Rockingham, 11.16 (82) to 4.5 (29).
Rockingham were up for the challenge in the opening quarter, leading by four points at quarter time but could only manage one more goal for the game as Waroona ran away with the match.
Pinjarra fine tuned its game against the wooden-spooners Mandurah with a 100-point victory, 22.18 (150) to 8.2 (50).
Callan Eddy was on fire for Pinjarra with six goals while Braddon Kazakoff slotted five.
It was a similar result at Harcourts Stadium with Halls Head coming away with a 104-point victory against Centrals, 23.12 (150) to 7.4 (46).
Marc Re took his season-goal tally to 54 after slotting 10 goals for Halls Head.
South Mandurah set up a 22-point victory against final-bound Baldivis following a big opening quarter which saw them lead by 30 points.
After trailing by 34 points at three-quarter time Baldivis fought back in the last but it was too little too late with South Mandurah winning 14.14 (98) to 11.10 (76).
John Bennell backed up his eight goals last week with three for South Mandurah.
This weekend Halls Head will play Waroona at 2.30pm on Sunday at Harcourts Stadium.
The sides have played three times this season with Halls Head winning each game; the most recent a 22-point victory on August 2 in Halls Head.
Pinjarra will play at home against Baldivis at 2,30pm on Sunday.
Baldivis won the first clash between these two sides by a huge 78 points in round two but Pinjarra bounced back to win the next two.
In the most recent encounter on August 2 Pinjarra won by just seven points.
