Freelance photographer Tony McDonough from RAW Image was crowned the 2015 WA Press Photographer of the Year at the WA Museum on Friday night.

Taking to Facebook to celebrate the win, Mr McDonoguh said he appreciated everyone's ongoing support.
"I would like to thank the sponsors for supporting what I see as one of the most important competitions for press/photojournalism in WA," he wrote.
"It has been pretty humbling for me and a real priviledge to make this my fourth WAPPY award since I started entering in 1997."
Sharon Smith from The West Australian won the Best Spot News award while Will Russell from The Sunday Times won the Best News Feature award.
The Sunday Times also claimed victory in the Best Portrait category thanks to photographer Daniel Wilkins while Lincoln Baker from The West Australian filed the Best Sport image.
The Best Feature category was won by Ross Swanborough from The Sunday Times while their photographer Daniel Wilkins scored the prize for Best Picture Essay.
The Community Newspaper Group's photographer Andrew Ritchie was crowned Best Surburban Newspaper Photographer while Jon Gellweiler from the South Western Times was named winner of the Best Country Newspaper Photographer category.
