THE Mandurah Forum is on track for a $300million redevelopment with owners Federation Centres and ISPT submitting a development application with the City of Mandurah.

With the hope to become the first major regional shopping centre to serve the growing population of the south west of Perth, Federation Centres executive general manager of development and asset strategy, Jonathan Timms said the Mandurah Forum would deliver a vibrant new retail experience once the redevelopment is finished.
With a significant expansion of more than 20,000 square metres, the centre will undergo a transformation to become a modern, premium shopping destination with more than 150 new stores to complement the existing specialty store offer and selection of leading retailers – Coles, Woolworths, Big W and Kmart.
A valuable addition to the local community, the redeveloped centre will also offer a new casual alfresco dining precinct and a contemporary expanded food court.
“To cater for our diverse customer base of visitors and the growing local community and with a design expressing the relaxed coastal lifestyle, the new Mandurah Forum will provide an enhanced customer experience with the latest store fit-outs, striking modern amenities and quality finishes,” Mr Timms said.
“The development will also completely transform the existing centre to create a seamless integration between new and old.”
A new rooftop car park, with direct access from Pinjarra Road, Dower Street and Clarice Street, will provide an additional 600 spaces.
Federation Centres is working with Main Roads and the City of Mandurah to alleviate congestion, increase safety and provide better access to Mandurah Forum with the network of surrounding roads.
“In addition to benefiting the Mandurah region with a high quality retail offer and a new lifestyle destination, the redevelopment is estimated to create 700 permanent jobs at the centre,” Mr Timms said.
