Now in its third year, the King of the Cut event is organized by SUPWA, and is a major event for WA.
King of the Cut is held on the Peel coastline where the consistent west coast seabreeze blows perfect, uninterrupted ocean runners, with competitors out to finish the race first at the Secret Harbour Surf Club.
The starting point will be between a start vessel and the end of the northern groyne at the ocean end of the Dawesville Cut.
The race briefing will be at the Secret Harbour Surf Club at 11.30am on December 6.
There will be mass start for competitors at 1.30pm. For details on getting the local community along to the finish, background on what is SUP Down Winding, interviews with Australian and International SUP champions and on-the-water race photo and broadcast opportunities, contact Chris Le Messurier on 0424 600 448.
The event is sponsored by the Stand Up Surf Shop in North Fremantle and presented by Redink Homes.
